United Airlines hubsUnited's eight U.S. hubs give it unmatched domestic coverage and strong international connectivity. Each hub anchors a different region and feeds into United's global network.Tips for booking cheap United flights
United domestic fares are typically most competitive 3 to 6 weeks before departure. For international routes, booking 2 to 4 months ahead usually finds the best prices before peak-season demand fills the lowest fare buckets.
United's Basic Economy is the lowest fare but restricts seat selection and doesn't allow changes or cancellations. It works well for certain travel if you're packing light and certain of your dates — otherwise, upgrade to Economy for more flexibility.
Tuesdays and Wednesdays consistently show the lowest United fares on domestic routes. Friday and Sunday carry a premium from business and leisure demand. Midweek travel can save $30–$80 each way.
United's MileagePlus is a Star Alliance program, giving earning and redemption opportunities across 40+ partner airlines including Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines, ANA, and Air Canada.
