Pets in Baggage & Cargo Compartments

When your pet is going to travel as the checked baggage or in the cargo compartments in Alaska Airlines, you need to follow the rules and instructions by the airline. The airline only accepts small domestic pets, and big-size pets are allowed in Alaska Airlines. Regulations on Pet Travel in Cargo-Baggage Compartment:

1). the age of cat or dog must be at least eight weeks old

2). you can’t transport two different animals or same age group in one kennel.

3). Alaska air may also transport in the same kennel at cargo-baggage more than one live puppy, eight weeks to 6 months of age, and weighing over 20 lbs

4). You can use the same kennel for the cargo-baggage compartment for No more than two live puppies or kittens, eight weeks to 6 months of age, that are of comparable size and weighing 20 lbs or less each

5). Your pet must be inoffensive and harmless and require no attention during transit from the airline staff.

Food and Water for Checked Animals:

Within 4 Hours of Check-In, food and water are offered to animals by the airline.

Animals must entitle enough water and food till the last time of journey.

If you are flying with the connecting flight, it is the customer's responsibility to re-check the animal in the connection city.
